A teaching pack to help young people explore healthy ways of coping with pressure and anger and how these emotions can be real triggers for self-harming behaviour, developed in conjunction with schoolswork.co.uk. Each pack comes complete with our 4 specially-made films and downloadable materials ideal for use in either a classroom enviornment or with young people in small groups. The materials can also be adapted to use on a 1-1 basis in mentoring situations. The films have been assessed and classified by the BBFC, and the materials tie-in to the PSHE curriculum for years 10 and 11.
Schoolswork.co.uk is currently hosting the sales of the DVD resource: http://www.schoolswork.co.uk/schoolsworkplus/entry/talking-about-self-harm-dvd/
When you place an order you will be asked to indicate of you are interested in the accompanying youth work materials. These have been developed with www.schoolswork.co.uk and are appropriate for youth workers who are based in the Christian sector and wish to understand more about relating self-harm issues to Biblical teaching. The youthwork materials will be available as a free download to anyone who purchases the schools pack and indicates they would find them useful. You will be given a unique code and the necessary web links.
Postcards
A set of 6 unique postcards are now available. Each carries it's own image with useful and relevant self-harm information of the reverse of each one. These are ideal for schools, youth centres and GP surgeries - anywhere they may be found by young people, family members and friends needing to know more.
The postcard packs are available for £3 each, or 2 packs for £5, including postage and packaging.
