So I’ve been struggling with my mental health and something my counsellor advised me to do was to make a “mental health box” and it has really helped my recovery and I think it would help others
What it a mental health box is a box or a drawer where you put items that make you feel happier or comforted during the bad days.
Some things I have in mine are
*a book
*bubble bath
*earphones
*mood diary
*chewing gum
*my dads dogtag
*sweets/chocolate
*my favourite DVD
*rubber bands
*sketchbook+pencils
*emergency numbers
*book filled with my favourite inspirational quotes
Etc. All of those items help me through the bad days and it has definitely been a great coping method for me.
Just remember that you are not alone and things will get better
